Crucible Stands

In fuel fired and electric resistance crucible furnace applications, it is highly recommended to use Molten Metal Systems stands (base blocks) made from materials similar to silicon carbide or clay graphite crucibles.

These stands help to minimize thermal and mechanical stresses on the bottom and side walls of the crucible by providing a highly conductive fully-supporting flat surface with similar thermal expansion rates.

These stands come in a variety of cylindrical and conical sizes ranging in diameter from 150 to 800mm and heights from 25mm to 200mm (depending upon the stand diameter).
