Ladle Bowls

We offer a comprehensive range of high quality clay graphite mix ladle bowls suitable for all types of sampling and skimming purposes in induction furnaces and ladles.

Applications

The range includes ladle bowls ideal for sampling of the molten metal for spectrographic analysis or thermal analysis. The light weight and shape of the bowl means that a clean sample can be obtained easily and the thermal properties of the clay graphite mix ensure that the temperature of the sample is consistent with that of the bulk of molten metal. 

Salamander^® Plumbago ladle bowls are also available in designs with one or more drain hole for skimming the surface of the molten metal in furnaces or ladles to remove slag and dirt without excessive use of coagulants.

Identification

Ladle bowls are denoted with the prefix NB or VB depending upon their manufacturing process.

Salamander^® Plumbago ladle bowls are available in a wide range of shapes and sizes from 275cc to 4000cc, with and without (up to five) drain holes, optimised for a range of sampling and skimming duties and can be customized to suit the needs of the customer.
